While the Lao Chiropractic Association is still working with the Ministry of Health to finalize the rules and regulations of Chiropractic, it is not officially regulated. Clinics that are registered with the Ministry of Health undergo inspections to assure the quality of services provided. Chiropractors working in non-medical facilities like spas, health resorts and fitness centers, are unregistered and not officially recognized. They pose a risk to the public because they have not been properly screened or assessed for professional competence. The last thing wanted is to have some Chiropractor lose their license in another country for professional misconduct and then come here to Laos to further endanger the public. \n<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

There have also been cases in the past when people with no formal Chiropractic training at all have promoted themselves as Chiropractors in Laos. They claim to have studied in another country, often one that has no official chiropractic school, when in reality they simply mimic the videos they have watched on YouTube and TikTok. \n<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Another tactic that has been used by some fraudulent Chiropractors in Laos, is to practice and simply attempt to call what they are doing something other than Chiropractic, such as practicing as a \u201cMusculoskeletal Specialist\u201d, or a \u201cManual Therapist\u201d. This is still considered dangerous, as they have not completely any formal training. To treat patients in any way in Laos, a professional license must be obtained by the Ministry of Public Health.\n\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
